Palladium is a rare white precious metal used in modern wedding bands, some white gold alloys, and investment bars and coins. Because it looks like platinum, silver and white gold, it is easy to undervalue. Noura’s Jewellery in Alta Vista Plaza, Ottawa, buys palladium: we identify it, test it, quote from today’s market price and explain exactly how we reached the offer. The quote is free, there is no obligation, and if you accept, you are paid on the spot.

How to recognise palladium
Palladium jewellery is usually stamped with its purity in parts per thousand, often followed by PD or PALL. Colour alone cannot tell it apart from other white metals, so we always confirm by testing.
Note that many white gold alloys contain a little palladium. A white gold ring is still valued as gold, by its karat, not as palladium.
How palladium is valued
Palladium has its own market price, separate from gold and platinum, and it can move quickly. The value of your item is its palladium content, purity times weight, at today’s price.
| Metal & purity | CAD / gram |

Frequently asked questions
Can I use the gold calculator for palladium?
No. Palladium has its own price and purity marks. Use the palladium rates above or ask us in the shop.
My ring says 950. Is it platinum or palladium?
Both metals use 950 as a common purity mark. The letters next to it (PT or PLAT for platinum, PD or PALL for palladium) and a test in the shop confirm which it is.
When am I paid?
On the spot, once you accept the offer, in cash, by e-Transfer or by another method you prefer.
